Laois Athletes Honoured at Leinster Star Awards Ceremony
Athletes from County Laois were recognised for their outstanding achievements at the
prestigious Leinster Star Awards ceremony, held at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel on Saturday.
Among those honoured were Leo Smith, who received the Juvenile Male award, and Katie
Baldwin, who was presented with the Senior award. Both athletes attended the ceremony in
person to accept their accolades, celebrating a successful year in athletics for County Laois.
Also recognised was Sinead Fitzpatrick, who earned the Juvenile Female award. However,
Fitzpatrick was unable to attend the event due to her participation in the SIAB Cross-Country
Championships in Wales. Her award was accepted on her behalf by club coach, Patsy
Baldwin. 
The Athletics Leinster Star Awards celebrate the achievements and dedication of athletes
across the province, highlighting excellence at both juvenile and senior levels.
The recognition of these Laois athletes reflects a strong year for the county in athletics, with
each recipient praised for their commitment, performance, and contribution to the sport.
