St Abbans AC Summer Camp
Over 100 children enjoyed multiple activities put on for them by the Camp Leaders at this years St Abbans AC summer camp. This year saw the old favourites return like dodgeball and volleyball as well as a visit from the Ice-Cream man and Bouncing Castle courtesy of one of the camp sponsors Scats Bouncing Castles. Thursday was a day filled with athletics events with athletes getting to try out High Jump, Turbo Javelin, Relays, sprints and a host of other athletics events. On Friday, the younger groups took part in a Teddy Bears Picnic, while the older groups got a chance to gain revenge against their leaders in a water fight. All in all, the children had a brilliant week thanks to the hardworking and dedicated teenage volunteers. Many thanks to all who attended the camp, the leaders for the enthusiasm throughout the week and camp co-ordinators Pauline Lawlor and Noeleen Condron who ensure the camp runs smoothly. Finally, a word of thanks to camp sponsors, Peter Condron at Condron Cars and Scats Bouncing Castles for their continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone next year for 4 fun filled days of activities.
